Manufacturing Engineer
Job Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and work instruction.
  • Continuously analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Select and implement appropriate tools, equipment, and machinery for manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement quality control measures. Design and implement testing and inspection procedures to ensure product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction in manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze production costs and recommend improvements to increase cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with other departments such as design, research and development, and quality assurance to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including process flowcharts, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

Qualification & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing engineering role is often required.
  • Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address manufacturing challenges.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.

Production Planner
Job Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with sales and other relevant departments to forecast customer demand for finished goods.
  • Analyze historical data and market trends to make accurate demand predictions.
  • Responsible for production scheduling by creating, tracking and reporting on the current production status.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing production output with customer demand.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels to prevent excess stock or shortages.
  • Allocate production resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials based on production schedules and capacity constraints. Optimize resource utilization to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor the progress of production activities starting from receiving customers’ orders, inventory check in system, then release order for production run until final goods are delivered to customer.
  • Manage changes in production schedules due to factors such as rush orders, machine breakdowns, or material shortages.
  • Communicate changes effectively to relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in production planning and scheduling.
  • Implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall production performance. Communicate production schedules, targets, and changes to relevant departments, including manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and production planning software. Preferably Odoo.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
